The Peterborough Petes and Fandango Salon have partnered for a March Mullet fundraiser co-ordinated by Petes players Hunter Garlent and Josh Maguire supporting Team55 Tackles Suicide Awareness and the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA).
March Mullet Rock'n mullets for mental health is a fundraiser designed to generate awareness on the topic of mental health. The two Petes, along with Josh Coyle, Matt Timms, Adam Timleck and Steve Lorentz, invite the public to Fandango on Lansdowne St. E. for the kickoff from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday. It was switched to Wednesday to avoid conflict with RBC Skate with the Petes from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday.
Team55 and the CMHA representatives will be there providing information on mental health and suicide awareness and the players will take photos and sign autographs for donations.
Fandango owner Tina Johnston and her staff will give the players mullets and will also donate $2 for every haircut given during the day.
